These geothermal pumps have a domestic hot water heat exchanger that comes already factory installed. You will need an optional DPM26A Pump Module. These pumps come with a variable speed ECM Blower Motor. These geothermal pumps are available in GV Step Capacity Series Geothermal Heat Pump and the GSVS Series Geothermal Heat Pump Units. Each pump is shipped intact, complete with the internally wiring. You will have to complete the thermostat wiring, duct connections and the water piping.

Bard Geothermal Heat Pump Specifications

The Bard Geothermal Heat Pumps have three specified applications, the Ground Water, Ground Loop and Fresh Water Applications. The heating efficiency of these pumps ranges from 21,800 to 53,000 BTUH. All models have electrical options of 230/208 volts, single phase with 60 Hz. The cooling efficiency of these geothermal heat pumps is 14.5 to 22.0 EER and the Heating Efficiency ranges from 3.1 to 4.0 COP. These pumps do have electric heat options that range from 0 KW to 14 KW.

In the GV Step Capacity Series Geothermal Heat Pump comes in 5 different models. These geothermal heat pumps use the R-410A refrigerant and the GSVS Series Geothermal Heat Pump has 6 different models and they all use the R-22 refrigerant.

Each pump must be used with a filter, when you first purchase this pump it will come with a 2″ disposable filter. After a month or so you should check these filters and if they are dirty they should be replaced. When installing the condensate drain, you want to make sure that the installation is done in accordance with the local plumbing codes. The wiring should be done by a professional. To keep up with the warranty make sure that you hire a qualified technician to complete the installation.

WE HAVE RECENTLY MOVED INTO A HOME WHERE THERE IS A GEOTHERMAL FUNACE WITH BARD BRAND NAME ON IT COULD SOMEONE FORWORD A DEALER WHO WORKS WITHIN THE DURHAM REGION TO SERVICE OUR FURNANCE AND GIVE US AN ORIENTATION OF THE SYSTEM WE WERE ON A NATURAL GAS FURNACE AT OUR PREVIOUS HOME THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.   2. We have a Bard ground source heat pump, but have a complaint with the noise factor. Our furnace itself is not “loud,” but the filters or plumbing that suply the water create a deafening sound. Has anyone else heard of this, or is this a problem with the installation?

  3. Hi we had a Bard GSVS361-A installed in 2009.

    Can someone tell me why the piping from the unit to the drain area are of some kind of soft coper / ( can squeese with my fingers) There is a leak right now and have a general plumber in to change to real coper pipes. Just want to make sure why would this soft pipe been used.
