  1. you might want to mention that chlorine wipes out the integrity of your pools pvc sch 40 pipes over time.

  2. Have used Baquacil for 10 years, haven’t ever regretted it and the cost is the same as my other family members who use Chlorine. The benefits of Baquacil are so great I would never change to Chlorine. The new thing is Salt Water Filters what do they use and what is the benefit of this system?

  3. I’ve got well water , and my pool is a 16×35 and I used chlorine tablets in it then shocked it , (with filter running continuously ) by the next morning it was brown , I’ve been told it’s the chlorine mixed with the iron ! I was reading that Baquacil is better to treat my pool with , I’m just wondering can I use it with my water being brown to clear it up and maintain it ? I have to use something to keep it sanitized and clear ! Any info would be great! Thanks

  4. Kala; Well water is living water not like dead chlorinated city water so when you chlorinate it , it turns brown for a few days just keep the pump running and clean the filter several times a day and you will have your dead crystal clear water.
Chlorinated pools have to be checked every day once you get it balanced which is not a real problem, Baquacil once balanced generally only needs attention once a week. My family loved the Baquacil as they were having red eyes with the chlorine but with the Baquacil they had no problem.
The choice is yours, either one works fine as long you stay on top of any problem that arises.

  5. I have used both baquacil and chlorine for over 40 years. Baquacil is much more expensive than chlorine. Also, Baquacil can cause your water to have a bad smell at times. The test kit is more costly and is not always accurate. I have gone to my pool store to test my water and every reading was totally different. Going back to chlorine this year..

  6. our pool is 30000 gallon, every single week the chlorine is 0, and the Ph is off the chart!!the average temp is 100 degrees, the pump and filter system rum for 12 hours at a time(with HTH),when we lived in Ohio,we NEVER had this problem with Baquacil, is there a difference when it comes to HUMIDITY, or am I just stupid for moving to Arizona??
