Adjusting The Pool Frog On Your Pool Filter System
If you have a King Technology “Pool Frog” hooked up to your filter system you can adjust the levels easily by turning the blue knob on the front of the canister. The Pool Frog is made for inground and above ground swimming pools. The Pool Frog requires chemical packs to operate. You can buy Chlorine and also many types of mineral packs for your pools water that can be just inserted into the canister.
If you want to increase the amount of chemicals being added to the swimming pool you will want to turn the blue knob on the Pool Frog to the right. If you want to lower the amount of Chlorine or minerals being added to the pool you would turn the knob on the Pool Frog to the left, this will reduce the amount being added to the pool. When the winter or off season come you will have to winterize your King Technology Pool Frog. To do so you will want to remove the blue drain plugs and let all the water drain from the Pool Frogs chemical canister holder. Once all of the water is drained from the Pool Frog you wont have to worry about it freezing during the winter. On some swimming pool plumbing systems there will be quick disconnect unions that will allow you to remove the Pool Frog from the plumbing.
I have a frogger system and can not get a reading for Chlorine from my test strips. I went to a pool suspply company and they also were not able to get a reading telling me the test strips do not detect chlorine from he frogger. What can I use to get an accurate reading of chlorine.
My frog’s chlorine level will not drop when putting in a new canister. If at 10 or 0 makes no difference. Have to remove canister to reduce chlorine. Is there any other adjustment or does need cleaning or replacing. Bough this year on line.
I know the manufacturer does not recommend you add Chorline thru the skimmer saying this can cause damage to the canister.
What to do I do if I am over Chlorinating with the pool frog bac pac?
1-If the chlorine reading is over 3.0 ppm, remove the POOL FROG bac pac from the from the POOL FROG Mineral Reservoir and test the water daily until the reading is down to 1.00 ppm.
2-Reinsert the POOL FROG Bac Pac, lower the dial one setting and test the water again in 24 hrs. If the reading has risen, lower the dial one setting again. Continue this process until proper reading is achiieved.
3-If over-chlorinating at the lowest possible setting, consider decreasing the circulation time. Depending on your pump size, you may be circulating the water more than is necessary which results in more chlorine than is necessary.

We just started using the pool frog system a in early May 2018. Our pool has had terrible algae problems and we shock once a week. We went to change the chlorine canister today and the old one was full of chlorine tablets. Did we install it wrong? We used a knife to cut the top off on the clear line above the red line.
