  1. I bought some extra bags and a resuable filter that I thought was the right size. Come to find out I purchased the wrong items. When I emailed pool blaster and asked them very nicely if I could exchange I didn’t get a reply. I am still waiting. Thier web site say customer satisfation is 100 percent. I don’t agree. My catfish won’t come on after I charge the battery. It worked great for 1 year as well. The second year is very disappointing to me. I notice the unit getting very hot during charge. I know chances are I need a new battery but I am not wanting to buy the wrong item and get stuck with it since the company won’t accept exchanges. (at leaast I know they won’t accept them from me).
I guess I will look for a different pool vacume from a different company. :(
Sorrry, my opinion is… Pool Blaster web site customer service is horrible!

  2. We purchased the Catfish for our above ground pool last year. Put it in the garage in the box and remembered it this year! It is an awesome vacuum! However, I cannot get the attachment for the floor to stay on the darn thing!? It just slides on the front, but there is nothing to secure it there? Why is that!? When I go to put it in the pool and push it down to the pool floor, the attachment comes off and floats to the top?! Very aggravating! So, here I am trying to use the long, telescopic pole with the catfish attached, with no attachment on the end…..takes FOREVER this way! Any suggestions would be wonderful!

  3. The box advertises that the Catfish will also clean algae off the pool walls. Is this true? I would use it primarily to brush algae off the pool walls and be able to suck it into the vacuum before it drops back into the pool to blossom again. Sounds great, if it really works. Thank you.

  4. Works great…..but you need to take it apart and oil the motor…..end cap made out of cheap plastic(probably from China)cracks and water gets in…..a little vinyl adhesive and plastic tape cured this……for a 100 bucks you would think they would use some better material for the housing….algae claim is a little far fetched……use a mop

  5. Almost forgot…..you got to take the end cap off to turn it on and off a/c cheap on and off switch sticks…

  6. Where is the on/off switch on the Catfish? Still trying to figure this out, just bought it, haven’t used it yet. I see on the cap it says “turn on and align with arrow”. How do I turn it on??? thanks.

  7. I just bought the pool blaster catfish ultra and it didn’t come with the AC charger. Can anybody give me the specifications on that so I can get one at RadioShack? I just need the output voltage and whether the inside (pin) or outside is positive or negative. Any info will help. Thanks

  8. Hi, looking to purchase one of these for myself in new Zealand, do you sell overseas to us. If so will it work in NZ as we are on 240V power. Can you assist us on this.
