EdenPure Heater TroubleShooting & Repair
If you have the EdenPure Heater and you are having some trouble with it, you might want to do something they call troubleshooting. When you troubleshoot your EdenPure Heater you will be diagnosing what is wrong with the heater so you can fix it and have nice warm heat again. Sometimes the problem is as easy as plugging the heater in because someone has accidently unplugged it, or sometimes the problem is a little more advanced like you may need to change one of the infrared bulbs inside of the unit. If you have any troubleshooting tips for others that you have learned along the way or need help yourself you can leave your questions and comments on the bottom of this Edenepure Heater TroubleShooting Repair Guide.
EdenPure Heater Won’t Heat The Room / Area
If your EdenPure Heater is not heating the room the first thing you will want to check is to make sure that the heater is plugged into the electrical outlet. Sometimes the cord can get unplugged by accident by someone else in the household. If the cord is plugged in you will also want to make sure that the circuit breaker has not been tripped. After you have made sure that the circuit is good and the EdenPure is plugged in you will now want to make sure you have no drafty doors or windows. If your doors or windows are leaking, that will cause the room to constantly be filling with cold air and could cause the EdenPure not to work. You have to remember this is a heater, Its not made to heat an area that has a wide open window / door etc.
Also you will have to note that this kind of personal (or zone) heater is originally designed for small area, which is about 300 ~ 400 sq ft. It is supplemental heat, and not to be replaced by the main source of heating system in the house.
If your floor materials are made of cement or tile, the time to warm up the room will be doubled as those kind of floor surfaces will absorb a lot of heat during the heat up process.
EdenPure Heater Infrared Bulb Replacement
From time to time you may have to change one of the infrared bulbs inside of the EdenPure Heater. You can buy a new infrared bulb for the Edenpure usually where these types of bulbs are sold. On the EdenPure Heater Review, Raymond says:

I have an eden pure model 1000 heater, It is extremely difficult to find any place to buy one of the quarts bulbs, I finally did find a dealer who also repairs them, The cost of each bulb was $ 18.00, and there is a total of 6 of these bulbs inside the heater with an additional bulb at the front of the heater. The bulbs are wired in series in pairs of two. So I ended up getting two bulbs for 36.00 dollars. I was able to install them myself, I have no idea what they would have charged me to put them in. I would love to know if there is anywere these bulbs can be bought for less than the $ 18.00 dollars. I found a set of three on ebay for $ 56.00 dollars.
So if your bulbs do need to be replaced you can see that even Raymond was able to change these bulbs himself for under $40. Off course you could always hire the local EdenPure Repair shop to replace the bulbs inside of the heater for you if you are not that handy, or do not have the time.
Heater Fan Blows Cold Air
The manufacturer originally designed the heater to blow out all the heat inside the unit approximately every 3 minutes, if the unit recognizes the desired temperature has been met in the room. This can also happen when the heater goes into a cool down mode, for example if you power it off. So wait for a little bit once you turned it on, check to see if the unit has been running for a while and if it still blows the cold air.
The Fan Or Unit Won’T Turn Off
First off, check to ensure that you have turn the master power switch to OFF position manually. As explained above, the fan will still run even after you turned off the unit. It is designed as such, until the heat chambers have completely cooled down. Then the fan will shut off by itself after a few minutes, so don’t be alarmed by this behavior.
Cleaning The EdenPure Heater
You can clean your EdenPure Heater with some general household products and a set of rags. You will want to keep your EdenPure Heater clean and free of all dust and dirt, so not only will your heater look good, but other people will not think you are a slob. You can apply your favorite household cleaner to a rag and then wipe down the outside of the EdenPure Heater and you will have one good looking heater even if it doesn’t work as you expected. It still makes one heck of a conversation piece when you have company over and then suddenly there is a loss of words in the room.
My mom purchased an Edenoure Gen 3 for me for Christmas . It never worked right out of the box. When you turn it in it will run for about 10 minutes and then blow cold air . A few minutes later a symbol will show up on the display saying it is unlevel . I’ve tried it in several rooms and even tried sticking something under one side of it to see if making it “unlevel” would make it work . I kinda gave up on it and now it’s cold again . I would love to get some use out of it . Any ideas or suggestions ?
This is a common problem with the Gen3. I’ve done a bunch of research, and it seams that the problem is a faulty magnetic leveling sensor. I believe that I found it directly under the control panel. you just pry the panel out with a flat screw driver. I’ve experimented with straightening it out(mine was slightly crooked), putting magnets on it, etc. Please let me know if you find anything else out about it. I’d like to know how to bypass this (theoretically speaking – don’t try this at home).
My heater will work for a few minutes and then stop. The
Panel lights stay on but the heater stops function
What’s up?
the manual says that’s how it’s supposed to work. “ON’ until it reaches the temperature it’s set for, then “OFF” until it gets cooler, then “ON” again. all of this is automatic, of course.
My eden pure heater is approximately 6 years old. It isn’t blowing as hard as the other eden we have. We have kept the filter clean. The fan motor sounds good but just is not putting the air volume out. Please advise.
I have a gen4. I just replaced all 3 bulbs yesterday. It will start heating and then after about 15 minutes it will blow out cold air. The bulbs I replaced were blown. I have had the heater for about 5 years.
i have Eden Pure Gen4 for 5yrs. Replaced bulbs 2yrs ago. This year I had to replace again. Unit was blowing cold air. After replacing it is still blowing cold air Frustrated because I only use the unit a short time during the winter because I live in Arizona but those few days when it’s cold it’s a godsend; however right now it’s a pain I don’t know why it’s blowing cold air with brand-new bulbs Can’t find the solution under troubleshooting. It’s advertised low maintenance but this is the second time I’ve replaced bulbs that should last 20,000 hours ..twice !!?
My Eden Pure is blowing the breaker. It turns on fine and warms up and the fan starts and it blows warm air for about 5 minutes or so then it blows the breaker. (20 amp) It is a Gen 3, Serial # WG12641235, MODEL A 3705, ID: XL-103R
mine is doing the same thing. I’ll be checking it out and let you kmow what I find if you find a cure let me know. thanks, mine runns ok on 1 lite, low, turn it up to 2 lites it blows the crcuit
I have an Eden Pure A 3705 and it no longer heats – just blows cold air. I have looked it over trying to figure a way inside so I can replace the bulbs previous writers have mentioned. No luck. How the blazes, or where, do I gain access to the components. I’d much rather pay someone to fix it but in lieu of that must try myself. Help?
That unit has about a million screws the have to be taken out to get the thing apart. The problem is one or more of the elements is burned out and they are wired in a series setup so when one goes they all quit!
Google Eden pure heater repair places nearby. These heaters supposedly have full warranty but only by their authorized technicians.
Bring your receipt with you from when you bought it (if you still have it)… They most likely will ask for it to file for reimbursement on the parts.
They are few and far between… Ours is almost 2 hour round trip to get ours fixed.
My eden pure copper smart will not recognize when to shut off. Keeps running all day and blows cold air, even when you shut the power button to off, it continues to run and blows cold air , what to do with it
it still blows after you shut it off so it can get all the hot air out of it for safety. it’s supposed to do that. the rest i don’t know about…….
The fan in my edenpure premiere will not on the heat setting, it does however work in fan mode and also purify mode. But when I switch it to heat mode the fan stops but the heating element still works. Help please
I have an Edenpure SpaceSaver that I can’t turn on. When plugged into outlet the red light for power illuminates but when I push power button on unit or remote, the heater never comes on.
Hi Rodney,
Did you ever get the answer to your question? I ask because I am having the same issue with my EdenPure 1000. The power switch lights up but the heater won’t come on.
I have a couple of these heaters that has a problem with the plug. They get really hot and burn yhe outlet. This happened with one last year and agaian amother onejust a couple of weeks ago. This time if i had gone to bed i am sure i would have had a fire. Is there any way that these heaters can be repaired.
Very important they connect to a GOOD outlet as they draw quite a bit of current. If the outlet is easy to plug into replace it OR if the house wiring is outdated its too light to handle the current!

The fan is not turning on. Does it need to preheat to a certain tempature ?
Yes it does need to preheat so it don’t blow cold air!
My heater was working fine we picked it up to move it and now it won’t do anything. Please tell tell me what I need to do.
Depending on how old it is and how roughly it was moved, the wires on the ends of the elements get VERY fragile and may have broken!
We had a power surge and both of my heaters quit working. Won’t turn on. What is the fix if there is any? Hate to throw them away if the can be repaired. Freezing in Michigan!!!!
May have taken out the circuit board with the surge…..not good!!
$100 plus to fix that!
My Eden Pure Gen3 fan will not shut off. I realize it is to run for some time after the heater lamp reaches temperature, but it never stops.
I have this problem with the signature series. It heats for a short time, and then blows cold air. It doesn’t warm the room at all before this happens. Leveling or bulbs?
