  Nancy wrote: Since summer start up we have been experiencing some leakage but it is getting worse. I thought I might be overtighten the screw but that did not stop the leak. The filter has been cleaned three times since 2010 summer start up and leakage has not stopped with new DE in filter. Sometimes when the filter has a huge amount of pressure or when it has been not back washed for a while the pressure will start to seep out in other places. I would try back washing the filter and see if you still have a leak. If you still have the leak it may be a defective tank. Let me know if you need more help, or have any other questions. The fittings screw in but the screw in part is still there its the top part that is broken off and am unable to hook the hoses without 2 new fittings, I am just not sure what fittings to get to connect the hoses too.
