If you have never installed a Loop Loc cover before you will want to be sure to take your time when doing so. Always be sure to measure twice before drilling any holes in your wood deck or concrete patio service. If you drill a hole in the wrong spot when installing your loop loc safety cover it won't be the end of the world but you will have to re patch the deck or concrete surface and that just ads extra time to your cover installation. Making Sure You Have All The Loop Loc Parts & Installation Accessories You will want to make sure that you have all of the parts and accessories to install the new Loop Loc Cover. You Will need a Loop Loc Installation bar, a Loop Loc Allan key, Brass Loop Loc Anchors for concrete or the deck, a rotary hammer if you are install the anchors into concrete, a power drill if you are install the anchors into a wood deck, a chalk line and off course someone to help you. Installing Brass Anchors Into Concrete If yo are install the Loop Loc Anchors into concrete you will need a rotary hammer to drill through the concrete. Then you can insert the brass anchors into the concrete, you always will want to spray the brass Loop Loc Anchors with some silicon before inserting them into the concrete. Installing Brass Anchors On The Pool Deck If you are installing your Loop Loc Safety on a swimming pool with a wood deck around it you will have to use the brass Loop Loc Anchors that are made for wood decks. These anchors have a flange with four screw holes so you can secure the anchors to the wood pool deck. You will need a power drill and some wood drill bits to install these types of Loop Loc Anchors into the wooden deck. Installing The Loop Loc Springs You will have to attach the Loop Loc Hold Down Springs to the Loop Loc Cover. You can do this by attaching the Loop Loc Straps to the Loop Loc Springs. You will also have to slip on the spring connectors over the Loop Loc Springs after you have attached the springs to the cover. Installing The Loop Loc Cover Once you have the springs and the Loop Loc Anchors in place you can now install the Loop Loc Safety Cover. You will want to attach the long end springs first and then attach two springs on the short side of the swimming pool. Once you have a few springs connected on the long side and short side of the pool you can connect the remaining springs with the Loop Loc Installation Bar. Adjusting The Cover After Installation After the Loop Loc Safety Cover is strapped onto the pool you will want to make sure that the cover is adjusted correctly. You may need to tighten the springs where you can see ripples in the cover. This could mean that your cover is loose in some spots. You will want to adjust the buckles on the Loop Loc straps to make the springs tighter. The Loop Loc Safety Cover should be completely tight and wrinkle free when it is installed properly.
