It should fill first with water then agaitate after it is full like it used too. I checked drain hoses, water hose and everything seems fine. when i first start the load with dry cloth it starts agaitating which is bad.

I bought this unit used, is there a way to find out how old it is?
When I turn it on to do a load (perm press or normal cycle), it begins to agitate before it even fills with water. I can open the top to stop the agitation & wait until it reaches it’s level, then close it to get it to wash. It will not stop agitating, or change to rinse by itself. When I want it to rinse & spin I have to stop it (turn the control knob off) rotate it to the spin cycle & turn off the water source, then it will drain, then I can put it on the beginning of the rinse cycle & turn the watr on to re-fill it (again, I have to open the top to keep it from agitating dry) when it gets to it’s proper water level it will shut the water off, then I can close the top & it will agitate.
If I do not touch it it will continue to agitate & rinse with no draining until its cycle is done ( all the way done even past spin, it won’t go into spin or drain by itself) If I watch it, when the knob revolves around to the spin mark, I can open & shut the top & it will begin it’s draining & then spin cycle. If I don’t shut off the water source when I do this it will add water while trying to spin.

I suspect a timer problem but the parts list also shows a micro computer

any suggestions?

It is hanging by some wires but not attached to anything that I can press down to activate it. How can I fix this?

Now it is full of water and it won’t spin or drain. the beginning spin cycle works on each cycle and then it just stops and nothing happens. when I put it on rinse it spins for a bit and then again nothing happens. When I put it on spin in any cycle nothing happens. It’s full of water and clothes and I need to send my kids to camp with their clothes. Help!!

My friend is bringing his level out tomorrow and we will see just how level the machine is.I sure hope this is all it is. The washer is only 5 years old.

Hi Linda,

Take a level and see if its actually level. If not use the adjustment legs to level out the machine,

Hope this helps.

Joseph

It bangs so loudly whenever it goes into the spin cycle or when it shuts off. I run upstairs to stop it and as soon as I lift the lid, the machine actually moves with a bang. It use to be a pretty quiet machine, but now I’m afraid to leave it alone. I was doing some heavy rugs the other day and it got so loud I just shut it off.

Do you think it could be off-balance, or is it something else?

Thank you,

Linda

I have an ordinary top load washing machine my problem is, it rotates only one way the reverse function doesn’t work, I observed it it stop for a 8 or 10 seconds then spin again but same direction again. What should be the cause of this problem?
