i have an older Esther Williams Pool and need a liner. I have i think beaded due to not seeing liner on outside of the pool. where can i get a liner for this special bead i might have at a discount price? how can i check to see if i actually have this special bead liner? do not know how to look under the rail or what to look for before ordering?
can i measure depth from outside of the pool due to winter cover is on the pool from the top rail to bottom of the pool? or do i have to remove winter cover? thanks

We just replaced a Johnny Weismuller pool liner and found that we could not use the standard spec of the pool to order the liner. Our 15′ X 30″ pool was actually 15′ X 29’5″.

We misordered a 15 X 30 assuming the brochure spec was correct. The installer/dealer see this at times. The pool spec does not match the actual pool dimension. This does not appear to be installation variation because the original liner fit perfectly and the installer/dealer was certain the new liner would have flaps and be a poor installation.

We ordered a custom size 15 X 29’5″ liner from Swimline for only $50 more that the orignial we ordered (Swimline, Portofino liner) beaded. The installer/dealer has seen this before so you must measure exactly and then consult with your installer/dealer on whether their liner will fit.

Replacing a liner appears tricky to get the size and installation right. I am including this information to warn others to measure your frame exactly so whether you purchase locally or customer order locally or customer order online, you can provide your measured dimension. Also the dealer said that a tad on the short side is ok as the liner stretches into place, to some extent.

This variation has been seen by both the installer and dealer before and they are familar with the need to customer order to the exact dimensions of the pool, as it measures in the field. Good luck, expecially to Johnny Weismuller and Ester Williams owners who I suspect may well have an actual liner dimension that varies from the spec, though this is not always the case. The vintage of our pool is 23 years old. I have put this note out there in a few locations hoping that those searching for Johnny Weismuller replacement liners and replacement issues will happen upon this note and save themselves time, money and aggravation from ordering the specified pool liner, based on the original Johnny Weismuller brochure and dealer invoice.

Where can I get a top quality liner for a 48″ deep 24 ft rnd 1987 Esther Williams above ground pool? My pool comp. reccomended pegasus products but they say they don’t sell directly to consumers. Thanx for any info.
