Hey,

Just checking back in. Turns out the pipe was full of debris. Luckily our pipes didn’t burst.
We got the faucet purged out and now it works fine.

Thanks for all your help!

Hi Jamie,

Sorry to hear about your frozen pipes!

That could work, or you could get a small electric space heater and put it under the trailer. Make sure that the skirting is closed all the way around the trailer as much as possible to help the heat stay in.

Let us know if you need more help!

It has been cold here for awhile and it has not frozen until now. I think that may be because we were haveing trouble with our ducktwork (big hole from a cat) and it was keeping it warm under there, well i fixed that last week and now its frozen. My thought is if I block off all the vents and let the heat run for a while, will it heat up the underside of the trailer and unfreeze the pipes. Maybe I should get back under and take down one side of the ducktwork and let it warm up the pipes. What do you think?

Hi Lynna,

I would call the landlord or the property agency, sounds like your going to need a plumber

We live in North FL in a Garage apartment. The water source is a well. I woke up this morning and the toilet will flush and refill but the tub/bathroom sink/kitchen sink all don’t work…no water. First time in 7 yrs this has happened to us. Today is a sunny day but high is only forecast to be in low 40’s and have a lower windchill factor. Any ideas for me? Not really expecting this living near ocean in Florida.

Hi Dawn,
Actually in some cases a trickle of water can cause bigger freezing problems.
like a frozen drain that takes a lot of work to thaw.

Negative. Not yet, anyhow *grumble* That was my next project when fundage ran dry. BUT! Good news is the pipes just unfroze because this side of the house has been in the sun all day so I guess what I need to do until this uncommon freeze is over is keep the water on trickle. Thanks for your help though!! Be well!

Hi Anne,
I’d open up the cabinet and blow heat under there.
Worse case you need to trace the path of the pipes and warm with a hair dryer.

If you are in the deep south a dark tarp above it and a sunny day may help.
Running a tube into the line with warmer water flowing against the ice plug can melt through it.
Other than that its a dig it up.
