It operated in this way for about an hour before one of the flexible hoses popped off (assuming due to the pressure?). I’ve since reconnected and tightened hoses and replaced o-ring on the lid but still have a considerable amount of leaking from the pump lid. Any ideas?

In the instructions above, it does not say anything about using a silicone lubricant when replacing the gasket but my local pool store teenage kid told me to do so. Is this recommended and if so, can you recommend where I can find a silicone lubricant, I was told not to use vaseline. Thanks, Pete

If you are experiencing air suction leaks from your pool pump, the cover gasket may need to be changed. This is one of the spots that the super pump will suck in air the most if the gasket is bad. The gasket is under $20 at most pool supply stores and is well worth the money to replace it, then have your pump burn out from sucking air.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
