My inlet is low and I have to lower the water level to that point for winterizing. There is probably 500 gal. on the cover.

Roger, if you have an above ground pool. Read comment above your question. It’s likely you have a mesh cover as well.

Kevin, don’t make the same mistake that I did, by using a bucket. I was draining my pool. I also have an above ground pool with a mesh winter cover. If you remove the cover carefully, keeping the leaves and dirt on top of the cover while removing it. You will have crystal clear water. It may take a few people holding it up. But the out come is well worth it.

This spring I was not able to get water off the pool cover without taking a lot of water from underneath. I am now filling the pool and I see no water on the top of the cover. Do you have any suggestions on what I am doing wrong. Could I have a thin Cover on the pool.

Doesn’t tis actually pump water from under the cover as well, so you are pumping the water out of the wool too?
