Can someone tell me why the piping from the unit to the drain area are of some kind of soft coper / ( can squeese with my fingers) There is a leak right now and have a general plumber in to change to real coper pipes. Just want to make sure why would this soft pipe been used.

Our furnace itself is not “loud,” but the filters or plumbing that suply the water create a deafening sound. Has anyone else heard of this, or is this a problem with the installation?
