why does my circulator leak?

WeT HeaD KnowledgeYour circulator pump can be leaking for a few reasons. The most common reasons a circulator pump will leak are, a bad pump seal, crack housing, leaking cartridge gasket, leaking flange gaskets or even another valve dripping onto the circulator and making it look like its leaking. Also in some older circulator pumps your shaft packing could be leaking.

The most common names in the circulator pump industry are Taco, Bell & Gossett and off course Grundfos Pumps.

The best thing to do is dry the pump off and see exactly where the leak is coming from.
