why do oil burners go out?

The most common reason is running out of oil and then restarting your oil burner and then realizing you just clogged the nozzle. Other common reasons are , the oil burner needs a tune up, the nozzle is clogged, the line or pump filter is clogged and even a bad set of electrodes or ones that need to be adjusted.

It is always best to call a licensed professional to do this type of work for you, as its not something the beginner can do. It requires years of experience and training.
