Weil McLain Series 4 EGH Commercial Gas Boiler

This boiler is one of Weil McLain’s premier commercial boilers. It has a medium size capacity perfect for heating large homes, apartment buildings and small office buildings. There are 5 different models available in the EGH Series; they have an Input range of 349,000 to 550,000 MBH. The square footage range that these boilers covers are 875 square feet to 1,375 square feet.

This is a self-cleaning and servicing boiler. The heating surfaces on the EGH boiler can be cleaned with ease to keep the boiler’s efficiency running high. Simply remove the top of the jacket panel and the flue collector hood and you will see the flueways. This will help maintain the boiler as well. The jacket and the burner door can be easily removed as well as put back on. The front and the back base panels are insulated with a high temperature thick insulation, which contributes to the high efficiency of the boiler.

The EGH boiler was created for Natural Gas and Propane Gas. The single, high temperature stainless steel burners offer high efficiency, superior flame characteristics and a quiet ignition. Also factory installed on this boiler are Cast Iron boiler sections that are created for a longer life. Weil McLain boilers can last for up to 35 years if they are well maintained. The Weil McLain Series 4 EGH Commercial Gas Boiler is shipped out with the boiler sections factory assembled. For installation purposes, the installer is able to place the boiler section into two blocks for easier handling. The boiler sections are sealed with elastomer sealing rings. This sealant is placed into the port openings, which allows for a watertight seal. The elastomer is flexible and will work with boiler as it expands and contracts.

Also included is a special high temperature sealant that goes between the boiler sections, which keeps the gas inside the boiler. All boiler sections are factory tested before they are assembled. The boiler is compact for easy installation; the unit only measures 33-1/2″ high and 27-1/2″ deep.
