The Weil McLain LBG Gas Fired Natural Draft Boiler can be used with Commercial, Residential, Schools, Hospitals, Multiple Boiler Systems and Radiant heating just to name a few of the applications the LBG Series can be used with. What makes this boiler better than any other Natural Draft Boiler System? The boiler sections are made from Cast Iron. These Cast Iron sections help give any Weil McLain boiler a longer lasting life. If properly taken care, your LBG Boiler can last over 30 years.
The boiler sections are constructed with heat pins that cause the gases to roll about the boilers. The gases surround the surface to increase the heat transfer and prevent any heat loss through the transfer. This allows the boiler to work at a high efficiency. The better the operation of the boiler is the more money it will save you. The boiler sections of the LBG gas Fired Boiler are sealed with a strong elastomer sealant rings that cover the port openings and guarantee a watertight seal in the sections. But the sealant is so flexible that it allows the boiler to expand and contrast without any leaks. The seals become elastic and they will fill in any gap that may be caused by any alignment problems or port opening issues that the boiler may have.

The Weil McLain LBG Gas Fired Natural Draft Boiler System has many different boilers, each one bigger than the next. The Series has a Water Net Rating of 282,000 to 2,014,000 Btu’s per hour. In addition to the water rating the boiler has a Steam Net Rating of 1,013 to 7,496 square feet. All of these boilers are compact and will fit easily into most basement, closets, boiler rooms etc.
The features that come standard on all of the boilers in the LBG Series are Cast Iron Sections, an Insulated Extended Jacket, and a Control Transformer using a 120 Volt system. The base comes with a single piece aluminum burner, a gas manifold, Hi Temp Insulation Board and a Wiring Harness with a Junction Box and a Pre wired Flexible Conduit. The Weil McLain LBG Gas Fired Natural Draft Boiler has a Universal Control System that features a UCS ignition control module and a wire harness. When the boiler is calling for heat, the system will spark to ignite the burners. When the flame is lit, the main gas valve on the boiler will slowly open and in minutes you will have the heat you need.
Each boiler in the series may have a different Control System. But most systems feature the same basic features such as a pre-wired control panel with an ignition control module. They are equipped with indicator lights letting you know when and if there is a problem. Due to the number of models in the series, you will have to do some research and read all of the features and what benefits each boiler can bring to your home. But no matter what boiler you choose, you are getting an efficient boiler that can save you money on your heating costs and will provide your home with many years of service. Weil McLain is offering a 10-year limited warranty on their boilers; they are worth taking a lot at.
