This plastic vent pipe had a recall and needs to be replaced ASAP or shut off boiler.
Make sure the plastic vent pipe is not cracked nor leaks at seams.
Check the bottom of the elbow / condensate ell next to boiler for a crack at the seam.
This seam was corroded.
Put in a CO detector near boiler and just outside bedrooms.
All the parts are manufactured by Selkirk.
I thought my pipe was OK, too.
When the plastic vent pipe was taken out to be replaced with special stainless steel vent pipe the problems became clear. Seams were not tight. Ell's seam was corrode. Thus CO was leaking into the house.
Feel free to call me at ( 215 ) 947 - 5422

Hi Charles.

I would suggest calling Weil Mclain directly to see if you could order the part straight from them. If not they probably will be able to locate a dealer in your area for you.

Let me know if you have more questions,

Dear Sirs;

A customer of mine is looking to replace the 3" plastic vent on his older GV Boiler with stainless steel. The plastic has not failed yet, but both he and I are worried. The hard-to-find piece is the initial elbow/condensate drain that is inside the shell. Can this part be obtained from Weil-McLain?
