This was designed with the jet ports that will help direct incoming cold water which will start a bit of rattling going on, this will prevent the build up of debris and sediments that often appear over time on older water heaters.

As we mentioned the Dairy Barn Water Heater have a 4500-watt heating elements. Each element is a non-simultaneous element and the other is a simultaneous, each element has an off peak metering which is recommended with zone-by-zone requirements. The 180 degrees Fahrenheit will let the water in the system to sanitize if the application calls for it. This water heater is protected with a 2″ thick Foam Insulation. By using this thickness, the manufacturer is ensuring better protection and a high efficiency. Any water heater that you see with a 2″ thick foam insulation is designed to help keep in the heat which saves you energy because you aren’t always increasing the temperature to get the desired hot water temp you need.

There is only one model of the Select Dairy Barn Water Heater, Model PE 82 20DT, it has a first hour rating of 86 gallons and an 80 gallon capacity. The element wattage is 4500 on a 240 Vac and the Recovery 90 degree Fahrenheit Rise Gallons Per Hour is 21. The inlet and outlet connection size is 3/4″ and single elements are not available on this model. The two elements are required they are not an option. The maximum element wattage used for this unit is a recommended 6000 watts. So you have to watch your usage for the heater.

Also included are the strong and long lasting Brass Tamper Proof Drain Valve and the factory installed Temperature and Pressure relief Valve. Never try to change the locations of these valves for installation or any other purpose. This will affect the way the water heater operates and it voids the warranty. Make sure that you have hired a qualified installer to help with the Select Dairy Barn Self Cleaning Electric Water Heater. It is not a good idea to try to install the unit yourself or to hire someone who is not licensed in the county you live in. If anything goes wrong your remedies are limited. The same goes for any service Agency that you hire for repairs. Again, if something breaks or goes wring and a licensed agency was not working on your system then the warranties may not hold up.

Make sure you read all service manuals and warranty information. You should know how your water heater works, what and how the temps work and how to maintain your water heater so you can save yourself some money in the long run.

Don’t buy Select State. I have one 5 years 11 months. On third set of thermostats. The alleged 6 year warranty is a sham. 2nd set replaced for labor only 13 months ago. Now replaced again for $300 Parts and labor. Told warranty no longer valid.

    SCAM and PIECE OF CRAP.
