With Inverted Bucket Traps you should have a pipeline strainer installed ahead of these traps. This will help protect the trap head and seat from any dirt and debris. Full port valves are recommended to be installed under the equipment drainage connection in a vertical fashion. The inlet should be at the bottom, which will make the bucket of the trap to work in an up and down fashion.
Maintenance and service is very important on the entire heating system, but especially with applications for laundry and dryers dependability is important. In order to inspect and perform maintenance on these traps the trap has to be removed. The isolation from the supply and return lines are required. To perform accurate maintenance, you must disassemble the entire trap and unclog any debris that may have accumulated in the trap. If you notice that the traps are worn or even damaged, you should replace the parts.
The components of the Spirax Sarco Inverted Bucket Traps are the Cover, the Body, Bucket, Valve Guide Plate Screws, and Cover gasket, Valve, Valve Seat, Internal Tube and the Valve Lever. All of these parts are removable and can be changed in assemblies or simply change the entire trap.
