You won’t have to spend hours and hours standing over your swimming pool with a vacuum pole on hot summer days. Simply place these machines into the pool and set a cycle time and when you come home from work you are ready to swim. There are two residential swimming pool cleaners that work the best, Smart Pools offer the Robo-Kleen. The Robo- Kleen Robotic Swimming Pool Cleaner is for above ground swimming pools. For round swimming pools, the factory angle that the machine is set to is perfect and for oval swimming pools, try removing the limit screw (see the manual) for a wider angle from the tandem wheels.

If you are looking for an in-ground automatic swimming pool cleaner try The Nitro Robotic Swimming Pool Cleaner. The way the Nitro comes is preset with angles that offer cleaning for the entire swimming pool no matter what size it is. Some Robotic Swimming Pool Cleaners are powered by the current of the water’s circulation but the Robo- Kleen is powered by electricity that is connected to your own filter system. This makes for a more efficient and powerful cleaning. It is important to mention that you should never enter a swimming pool that has a robotic swimming pool cleaner in it.

  1. My Robo Kleen wworked great and I did everything right, however the cord over heated or something and it melted to the moter hook up and stopped working. Can it be repaired and if so where & how, and is it worth it? I loved my robo kleen but I don’t want to buy one every 2 years (that’s how long I’ve had it)
I look forward to a reply ASAP (before pool season starts!)
    Thank you

  2. Kris.

Yes, It can be repaired by a swimming pool cleaner shop. Most ‘motor rewinding” shops also fix these.

If you tell me your zip code, or Town and State we can tell you where toy can get it fixed.

Yes, It is also worth it to fix it.

Let me me know the town and the state and we can help you more!

    thanks

  4. I need to know where to take it for repair in MILLINGTON, TN 38053. It will come on n shut off and the front wheels stop working.

  5. I am having a problem with my Robo-Kleener as well. It will start to run and then just quit. I love it and it is a wonderful product but I am disappointed that after only a season and a half it doesn’t work. Can I have information on where to have it repaired? I live in Ohio and my zip code is 43920. Thanks for your help!

  6. I’ve owned my Robo-Kleener for a year and a half also (Hmmm – seems to be a trend!) and the “UL” 40 foot wire lead looks like it broke inside the outer water jacket (has a sharp kink in it) and the unit stopped. When I went to restart it I noticed the plug at the transformer to was brown and deformed. When I tried to unplug the robot from the transformer, the socket broke off the case and was stuck to the 40 foot cord. I took apart the transformer case to inspect the inside and nothing else looked damaged. Neither did the internal fuse blow nor the GFI plug I have the system plugged into trip. I must assume the robot is OK, but I need a new (and possibly better) 40 foot connectot cable and transformer socket. Does anyone know where these parts can be found. (If I can’t find the needed parts at a reasonable price, I’m not about to buy another one of these units.) I loved the way it worked when it worked, but like the first Responser said, their too expensive to only work 1 1/2 to 2 years!!! Are there any American made units? I’m getting very disgusted with everything I buy that’s made in China lately!

What concerns me the most is when I see so many places selling refurbished units AND other people with similar complaints. I hope I can fix it but I won’t buy another.

  7. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, your web site says check the manual to see where to attain parts. All that’s in there is a phone number for filing a claim (provided it’s still within it’s warranty period of 1 year). After that, the manual is useless.

    Thanks anyway!

  8. i own 2 cleaners both have the same problem motors run but wheels do not turn . where can i get them repaired i live in nj 07730 zip

  9. I have the same problem everyone else seems to have. My Robo-Kleen starts fine and as soon as the wheels begin to turn the unit shuts down. Where can I get it repaired? I live in Allentown, Pa area.

  10. I have the same problem as most of the other replies. The vacum works but the wheels will not move. Could you please tell me where I can take it to be fixed in south east Kentucky.

  11. I owned my robo kleen for 1 yr and 20 days. It still cleans but will only move about two feet forward and two feet back. I don’t know what to do to repair it.
I live in GA and my zip code is 31061. Thanks for your help.

  12. I am having the same issue as the rest, pump is working, wheels are not, zip is 44138. Can anyone tell me if they were able to get there unit fixed and for how much?

  13. I have owned 3 of these in 3 years. 2 of which i sent back for repair at my expense of course but they didnt last long after i got them back. They work great while they last but it’s been one problem after another with these units. If you get more than 1 season out of one consider yourself lucky. They are crap in my mind and i will never purchase another Smart Pools product.
