Plumbing Technology Vs Wasted Technology

WeT HeaD Knowledge

In these economic hard times, we should be concentrating on the things that we need rather than the things we want. If we really took a hard look at the way we live, we would see that we have more luxury items than we do necessity items. As we struggle to make ends meet, it is really important to take an inventory of the things that we have and break then down into wasted technology and the necessities we need to service.

Plumbing is really the health of our nation, without the proper plumbing in our homes we would not be able to wash our hands, use the toilet, take a shower, cook our food or heat our homes. So why do we spend our money on things we don’t need. Think of the necessity of every single plumbing application that we take for granted on a daily basis.

For example, let’s say you have been having trouble with your boiler. It may have been giving you subtle signs in the beginning but you ignored it because it may have been warm outside and you did not really feel that you needed to replace it. So instead you saw that the Apple iPhone was coming out in June of last year and you decided to purchase that instead. Now it is winter and the boiler is giving you more problems but you don’t have the money now to repair or replace it. Looking back, doesn’t the iPhone seem like a bad choice because of all the things the iPhone can do, it can’t heat your home.

Let’s say that your toilet has been leaking for some time but you may figure, it is still works. So you go out a buy your kids the Wii Gaming Console and some games for the kids. But now a few weeks later the toilet is leaking massively. What do you do, you already spent a couple of hundred dollars on a gaming system and you just don’t have the money to replace the toilet. You can probably think of lots of scenarios just like the two we gave you. We would rather spend our money on luxury items than on a toilet.

But without plumbing we could not wash our dishes, wash our hands, go to the bathroom or take a shower. All of these things are more important than getting an iPhone when you most likely already had a perfectly good cell phone. We pay hundreds of dollars a month for cell phones and cell phone bills. Wouldn’t it nice to spend hundreds of dollars on plumbing technology that will last us longer than a Wii System will?

We have to be more disciplined with the way we spend our money. Yes, it is cool that the iPhone can play music and we can activate our voice mail with our actual voice. But these items are not necessities; they aren’t going to help keep us warm or clean. Think about how it is now, times are tough do you want to be stuck when you are in need of toilet or would you rather be able to play music on your phone. Most people would say they would rather save as much money as they can in case of an emergency and that would be the smart thing to do.
