One of the newest gadgets from Apple is the iPad. This is a tablet PC that operates with the iPhone Operating System. This newest device will be available in WiFi in March 2010 and for 3G in April 2010. What sets the iPad apart from the rest of the technology out there is that the iPad includes features that have multimedia concepts such as newspapers, ebooks, magazines, photos, video and all iPhone apps that already exist. 
Some Cool Ipad Features
Some of the specifications of the iPad include a 9.7-inch IPS LED display with backlit LCD display as well. The processor of the iPad is 1 GHz ARM Apple A4 chip which Apple custom designed to use a low power system on a chip. The graphics are 1024 x 768 resolution for a crisp and colorful picture. The storage space available on the iPad is 16 to 64 GB flash memory. The input available is the compass, multi touch screen display and accelerometer.
Ipad Applications:
The Apple iPad includes software applications that have iBooks, you can download any content from the site from the ePub format from the iBookstore. There is featured software called iWork, this is an updated mobile version of the Apple iWork, which will include Pages, Numbers and even Keynotes, which are all available from the App Store. In addition to these downloads the iPad also comes with Safari, Mail, Photos, Video , YouTube, iPod, App Store, iBooks, Maps, Notes, Calendar and even Contacts. The device is compact and measure in at 9.56 inches in height and 7.47 inches in width and it weighs about 1.5 to 1.6 pounds depending on if you get Wi-Fi or 3G.

The battery is a 25Whr rechargeable battery and can last 10 hours if you are using the web or listening to music via Wi-Fi. There is an on and off sleep button, a mute button and volume adjuster on side of the device. The Mac System requirements for the iPad is a Mac computer with USB 2.0 Port, Mac OS x v10.5.8 or later, iTunes 9.0 or later, iTunes account and you must have web access. To use with Windows you must have a PC with USB 2.0 Port. It is compatible with Windows 7, Vista, Windows XP Home or Professional with Service Pack 3. You may need an iTunes account, iTunes 9.0 or later and web access. The pricing on the iPad will not be cheap, the 16 GB will cost about $499 if you want Wi-Fi and if you want Wi-Fi and 3G then the cost will be $629.00. For the 32 GB model, for Wi-Fi the cost will be $599 for 32 GB 3G the price will be $729.00. For the 64 GB iPad with Wi-Fi the cost is $699 and for 3G is $829.00.
