There are many reasons why your toilet can be clogged. Learning the right way to plunge your toilet can save you time and get you flushing fast again. You will want to make sure you have a good sized plunger and will want to also make sure that you have a good amount of water in the toilet bowl.
The next thing you will want to do is to stick the plunger into the toilet and then forcefully push the plunger up and down which will push the blockage through the trap of the toilet bowl and your toilet will once again flush. You may have to repeat this process a few times if you have a bigger then average jam / of blockage / stoppage inside of your toilet bowl trap or bend.
You can also buy something called a super plunger and that will give you a better shot at clearing the stoppage faster as this type of plunger creates more of a forceful push when used compared to the standard smaller cup plunger.
Additionally if the plunger does not work after attempting to clear the toilet stoppage, you can use something called a toiler auger which is a like a mini snake that will work its way through the toilet trap when you turn the handle.
