How I (Arlene) made a memory with my toilet

WeT HeaD Knowledge

My neighbor asked me to watch her little boy for a while while she went shopping. I really didn’t mind.  I had 2 big boys of my own now and it would bring back some good memories. Or so I thought.  I knew Little Taz was a busy boy, infact a real whirling dervish but I never bothered to ask how he got that nick-name. And, later that afternoon I didn’t need to ask for I figured it out.

I was busy in the kitchen making Little Taz some cookies when he disappeared upstairs. I figured he just went into my older son’s room and was checking things out.  I figured no harm would be done.  When the cookies were done I called for Little Taz and when he didn’t answer I started to get alittle concerned.  I went upstairs and he wasn’t in either of the boys bedrooms but the bathroom door was closed.  I knocked on the door asking Eric if he was in there. He was because I could hear some shuffling around. I started to hear the cabinet doors opening and shutting.

“Eric” you open the bathroom door now, and let me in” adding, ” I made you some cookies.”  I heard the water running now and could hear him playing with the plunger on the sink. “Eric, what are you doing in there? Are you washing your hands?” (No answer)… “Eric, ”

Next I heard the toilet. I heard him flushing it and then, I could hear the tank top coming off.  ” Eric, what you are doing to the toilet Eric?” “ERIC I GOT COOKIES ERIC!”

“I don’t want cookies, I want to play in the toilet” and I could hear it being flushed again, this time it wasn’t sounding right.

“ERIC IF YOU DON’T OPEN THIS DOOR AND LET ME IN I AM CALLING YOUR MOM” then, I heard the toilet again and again, and then water was seeping out from under the door, into the hallway, onto my feet.

I was jiggling the door knob, twisting the door knob, pulling on the door knob, I kicked the door knob, then, I got a hammer and whacked the door knob knocking it off and opening the door  I reached in and got Eric out of the water mess sitting him in the bedroom demanding he stay there and reached into the toilet and pulled out a huge amount of toilet paper all 4 rolls.

The water was slowing going down but something was still in there stuffing it up. I asked Eric what he flushed and he said, ” all the toothbrushes.”  I asked, ” anything else?”

I spent a couple hours getting them out, getting the bathroom cleaned out, getting him dried up, and when all finished we sat and had cookies.

His mom came by to pick him up and asked if he was good and if he brought back any memories for me.

That night everyone asked why I threw out all the toothbrushes, why I broke the doorknob and why the tile was picking up in the bath I told them, ” have a cookie and make a memory.”
