  1. I need a dough boy liner I think it’s an older model. “22.1\”15.3 it’s like an octigone shape around 4 foot deep . & I was woondering if I can make it deeper? plz contact me asap

    • Hello Rebecca,

Yes, you can make the swimming pool deeper by digging it out and then that will be considered the “hopper” as we call it in the pool business.

You can buy an “expandable liner” that will expand in the center or the “hopper” area.

Hope this helps and let me know if you have any more questions.

  2. Hi, I think I have a whole in my liner, because, my water is practically gone from my pool. Why couldn’t this happen in the summer? I have an oval dough boy pool I think it’s 18 by 36 and 4 feet by 7 feet. Where can i find a replacement liner, and are simple to replace?

    • Hi

You could always add water to the pool and then keep adding it through the winter if the pool liner hole is small and it doesn’t leak out to fast. Then you could patch it in the summer if the liner is still in good overall condition.

Its always best to change the liner in the warmer months. Doughboy pool liners are not the easiest to change for the average person. If you have never changed a pool liner you might want to hire a pool guy for a few bucks and save yourself some headaches.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

      PS Happy Holidays!!!

  3. Hi

my doughboy liner has shrunk is there a way i can restretch it so it can fit my pool again or do i need a new liner i tried in the summer but the liner kept coming unclipped everytime i started to fill it up so i gave up is it something im doing wrong i did it on hot days and it still did the same

    • Hi Carl.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but unfortunately you are going to have to purchase a new liner. As far as when you install your new liner, you have the right idea about waiting for a warm sunny day. The heat from the sun will help soften the new liner so that you can get a better install. Also, if you don’t want the same thing to happen again, make sure you don’t drain your pool and leave it without water. The liner must stay wet continuously to avoid ruining it’s ability to stretch.
      Hope this helps.

  5. Hi I have a doughboy 28 round. Walls are 48 . There is an area of roughly 2 feet then it gradual deepens to 5′ in the center. I need a new liner and I am getting mixed information. Some say a regular liner will stretch the amount needed others say I will need an expandable. HELP!!!!

    • Hi John,

As someone who built above ground pools for over 10years professionally, I would recommend going with the replacement liner from dough boy themselves or a dough boy supplier (Harrow’s or who sells the pools near you)

Now sure, You will find cheaper liners, great salesman along the way trying to sell you something else, BUT the liner will be crap and not last like the original one that came with the pool.

Doughboy factory liner is the way to go, and get a professional installer as well.

      Hope this helps.

  11. HI-I bought a pool from a friend who decide to buy a round pool. This one I got from her, they put an overly large liner in it and it had a lot of large wrinkles, so they were not sure what the actual size of the liner was, they said to buy the closest size I can to the original size. So, we measured the inside of the pool area, which is the 16’X28″ and it is a doughboy pool. They had the liner installed as an overlap liner. Do I need to add anything to the measurements of the liner or only to the height? I want to get a good fit. Thanks, Bird
