The boiler is available in 5 different models; the 16-325 is a 6-section boiler system that has a heating capacity of 260,000 BTUH. The Model 16-390 has 7 boiler sections and a heating capacity of 321,000 BTUH, the Model 16-455 has 8 boiler sections and a BTUH of 364,000. The Model 16-520 uses a 9-boiler section system and a BTUH of 416,000 and the 16-585 has a 10-boiler section system and a heating capacity of 468,000.
The Series 16 Gas Fired Boilers have some great features include a more compatible system to be used with different modes of installation. The advantage of this system is that there is less piping and less venting. There are fewer controls for the boiler and it will save you money on installation.
These boiler systems are partly packaged, the boiler section come pre-assembled and they are mounted to the base with the manifolds, burners and flue collectors installed. The only parts not packaged with the boiler are the controls, the boiler trim, the jacket and the vent damper, these are shipped out separately.
The Heat Exchanger is made from Cast Iron and the Push Nipples are made from iron. The push nipples work within the boiler to help seal the sections properly. When these pieces are used with their maximum potential you can save a lot of money, the more efficient the boiler, the more money you will save. These push nipples are also used to help defy chemical reactions and corrosion. These nipples are lubricated and they are anti freeze nipples.
There are some other options available are the Base for Installation on Combustible Floors, the CSD-1 Control System, a 50 PSI Safety Relief Valve and a Vent Damper are all available for the Series 16 Model. This boiler is not designed to be installed for direct installation onto combustible flooring. You will need a heat shield, this is required if you are installing on a combustible floor.
The Atmospheric design of the Series 16 offers a smooth light off and very quiet operation. The Series 16 boiler has factory installed proven controls that are made for easy maintenance and installation.
