If you register your warranty 60 days after installation then your warranty qualifies for the Registered Limited Warranty. This warranty has a lifetime warranty on the heat exchanger and a 5-year warranty on the internal parts. The Functional Parts Limited Warranty is 10 years on the indoor gas furnace, coil and thermostat when the unit is being installed. If the unit is not registered in the 60 days then the Trane Base Limited Warranty will come into play.
